RM19

Hello this MexU2d and I am advertising a royal opera house group that I am apart of, comment and even join spread the word to the people in England.

RM19: New vocal group for young people in Thurrock

RM19 is Thurrock’s newest vocal experiment. Music ranging from pop, rock and hip-hop to classical and opera via dub step and R&B are all combined using the human voice alone.

The group is free to join and open to anyone aged 11–25 who lives, works or studies in Thurrock. Led by Artistic Director, Dominic Peckham, with Assistant Leaders Robbie Jacobs and Esther Toluwase, RM19 is a unique musical experience for singers and audiences alike.

By joining the group, singers will get the chance to:

  • Work with other singers to create unique pieces of music
  • Learn and develop vocal skills and technique
  • Gain valuable experience and confidence in performing
  • Meet other young people from across Thurrock
  • Get involved in all aspects of running a vocal group, such as marketing, choreography and design
  • Perform at public events across Thurrock and the wider region
  • Have fun!

To register for the next taster session, email getinvolved@roh.org.uk or call 01708 891 200.

The group meets fortnightly on Saturday afternoons at High House Production Park, Vellacott Close (off London Road), Purfleet RM19 1AFT. View map.

No previous singing experience required – just enthusiasm, a love of music and a willingness to experiment.

RM19 is generously supported by Bernarr Rainbow Trust, Ernest Cook Trust, Lucille Graham Trust, Thurrock Borough Council and Julian Metherell.
